Capitalism’s Paradox: A Call for Accountability - John Maynard Keynes

Hello, I am John Maynard Keynes, an economist and philosopher whose ideas continue to shape modern economics. I once said: "Capitalism is the extraordinary belief that the nastiest of men for the nastiest of motives will somehow work together for the benefit of all." This quote was my critique of the dangerous myth that pure self-interest and unchecked markets inherently serve the greater good. I saw firsthand, during the Great Depression, how unregulated capitalism failed millions, fueling economic instability and inequality. To address these failures, I advocated for policies that prioritize stability, fairness, and collective well-being. Fast forward to today, and this dilemma is more pressing than ever. Global capitalism has created astonishing wealth, but it remains concentrated in the hands of a few. As tech billionaires and corporations dominate the economy, environmental degradation, labor exploitation, and misinformation proliferate—all in the name of profit. Misinformation has even become a weapon in today’s information war, manipulating perceptions and deepening inequalities. The same systems that promised progress are being used to erode democracy and mislead the public. We must act. Economic systems should serve humanity, not the other way around. Demand accountability. Advocate for fairness. Challenge the belief that unregulated greed will lead to justice. For more on navigating today’s information war and building a better future, visit Information-Warfare.com.
