My fellow Americans, I am Ronald Reagan, The 40th President of the United States. I come before you today with a solemn message—a reminder that history does not sleep, and neither can we. The Cold War, as we knew it, may seem like a chapter from the past, but I must tell you: it never truly ended. Instead it has transformed and evolved into a new Cold War. The battlefield is different, the players have shifted, and the tactics have changed, but the stakes are just as high. We must not fall asleep at the wheel of history. Complacency in the face of these challenges would be the greatest threat to our nation. We are called once again to safeguard our values, our democracy, and our leadership in the world.
