There’s something really odd with this video - it looks AI generated.

It 100% is. They need to be transparent about this because it detracts from what is actually a powerful message.

I totally agree. The message is spot on but Stanley Milgram died in 1984 so I don't believe he was giving out web addresses

Absolutely. I knew right away it was AI and that scared me - what happens when the technology improves to the point that we can’t tell? I remember when the study “he” references first came out. Facts speak for themselves and a good cautionary tale for times without any gimmicks. And we need to be aware that experiments of this type are now banned. Study participants were traumatized by their experience.

Yes it is an AI animation of a stock photo of Milgram stating a quote from his writings.

I agree. This is hypocrisy. They may mean well in some way but it harms the movement, that of being the 20% that are the example of how to be , and this AI generated video is the antithesis of that.

Exactly what I was thinking!! I’ve NEVER been a follow the herd kinda girl! Used to second guess myself at times when younger or made me occasionally “wish I was normal”, if nothing else just to visit for just a few moments the seemingly peaceful uncomplicated “herd” mentality (or lack thereof)! It’d be nice to flip a switch and relax in some blissfully ignorant/obliviousness! Hey a girl can dream!!! At least until I smack myself in the face like Cher in Moonstruck “Snap out of it!” I wouldn’t last 5 minutes who am I kidding - especially being the deep thinky knowledge thirsty beyotch that I am! Lol! So now I proudly fly my freak flag, embrace my inner rebel and stand at the ready to DO SOMETHING - before something is done TO me and/or us!!! ✨♾️✨

Let’s see, in Europe , many countries that were in the Soviet Bloc protested in mass and won their freedom. Lithuania, Poland, Georgia, East Germany, and many other countries stood up to the dictatorship. We had the had the Anti-Vietnam protests of the 60’s. The Civil Rights Movement of the 50’s and 60’s. Don’t underestimate today’s Americans. They’ll meet the challenge of this authoritarian trump administration. It may not happen overnight but it will come to past.

Wow! This gentleman said it so well, and so succinctly. His words and message still have life long after their utterance. They are still as true today as much as they were likely true back then. THIS is why in this moment we must ALL show up, and speak up. We never know when what we know in our cores reach out and impact those living in the future - our current times.

Human nature is human nature. So what mistakes we made in yesteryears we are likely to revisit again in the future, to resolve once again, unless we keep the lesson alive about the pain of these times alive for those that will follow.

The author is right; critcal thinking and moral wherewithal truly matter. Without having had these assets modeled around us, as well as cultivated within us, we will likely fall prey to the changing political climates of the times we're in. We will allow others to disturb our peace by causing unfounded fear and widespread panic. With critcal thinking and moral wherewithal inculcated vastly into our communities, and beyond, we can live more peacefully, internally, and we will clearly see any approaching, ill-intended intruders recklessly passing lies as truth, creating havoc where we give them inroads: places of doubt and uncertainty.

Practice stillness and inner calm so we can better discern those intent on spreading chaos and panic. That is how we will recognize them - by their fruit - be it sour or sweet. If we truly know ourselves and what is inherently precious, that we cannot so easily replace, we will not so carelessly let it slip through our fingers, and instead, guard our peace and liberties at every turn.

We must learn to recognize the enemy before they're at our very doors. Teach the children well about safeguarding their Godly inheritance, living precious and free, as well as the importance of passing them down for the next generations to come.

Be well!
